Short Description:

The SONICS SEAM-20 seam welder is the world's most advanced ultrasonic metal welding system. This system is the result of continuous improvements since the world's first seam welder was introduced in 1980. Today, this proven system is widely used for welding aluminum-plastic composite pipes, solar panels, and copper and aluminum sheets for batteries. It can weld copper sheets with a maximum thickness of 0.4 mm per side and aluminum sheets with a maximum thickness of 1 mm per side.

SONICS SEAM-20 System Introduction

SONICS SEZM-20 consists of two parts, the frame and the control box, connected by a control cable.

Control system:

The SONICS SEAM-20 control system is a microprocessor control system with high programmability and high reliability, which can precisely control the speed and amplitude.

Rack part:

The frame is composed of a set of ultrasonic components and a rotary motor, and the operating frequency is 20KHz.
The ultrasonic assembly is composed of three most important components: transducer, amplifier and welding head.
SONICS SEAM-20 controls the speed direction of the welding head by adjusting the phase on the motor speed control board to meet the welding requirements of different line directions on the assembly line.

Welding speed:

The system provides a standard 3.0kW power output. In practical applications, we recommend a welding speed of approximately 12-16 meters for aluminum-plastic pipes with a diameter of approximately 16-25mm; 8-12 meters for aluminum-plastic pipes with a diameter of approximately 30-40mm; and a coarse-toothed welding head for aluminum-plastic pipes with a diameter of 40mm or greater, ensuring a welding speed of at least 8 meters. A 3000W power output reaches a maximum load of 90%, with a 10% reserve.
